Aholai

The Aholai is a Tier 3 terrestrial photovore. The species is available in the Random Gacha and Herbivores Gacha, and the stored version is available in the Shoom Shop for Plantilla:Shoom 750 Shooms.

Second Color Palette: It has a second color palette, which is unlocked by giving Necro Poison to 20 players.

Appearance

Aholai are quadrupedal creatures with deer anatomy that partly resembles an apple. Plating resembling apple slices covers its neck, back, legs, and underbelly. Leaves make up its tail and adorn both sides of its head, with two slender leaves sprouting from the back of its head; it also has four "whiskers" coming from under its throat. It has sharp claws that surprisingly deal a lot of damage despite its tier. The apple slices present on the sides of the Aholai's neck flare up into a frill that resembles a frill of a dilophosaurus when in the aggressive stance.

Male

Males have a crest in the shape of an apple slice on their heads.

Female

Females have three (3) leaves emerging from their lower back.

Game-play

Pros

The Aholai is a Photovore that has access to infinite food sources anywhere that there's drinkable water to easily reach adulthood. As a male photovore, it can create Herbivore food storages and as a result of its unique diet, it acts as an infinite food source for herbivores, and because the food inside can be inefficiently converted into a chunk of quickly-rotting meat (by pressing T near it, as if it was a meat carcass), it can also be used for Carnivores as a last resort if no meat is available nearby.

It can use its Necro Poison Ability to escape confused attackers unfamiliar with the effects which inflicts damage after gaining too much poison and severely warps vision.

Cons

Due to the creature's unique Necro Poison ability, it is often attacked at random by players that want to experience the visual effects caused by the ability. Because the necrotic poison inflicted is not as much as Crata Peretina's, combined with the less HP and weight, makes using the Necrotic Poison ineffective against higher, heavier tiers in the short run before the Aholai dies.

• Necro Poison is a passive ability that activates when attacked and impairs the vision of attackers while inflicting poison (and bleed at high enough levels) at the same time. This ability worsens with the more bites that the attacker takes.

Trivia

• Concept by Stood_04.
• The model and animations were made by Erythia.
• The Aholai's pomaceous appearance and its ability to inflict Necro Poison may be a reference to how apple seeds contain cyanide, a poisonous chemical.
• In-game, the Aholai is nicknamed "apple deer," which refers to its apple-like plates and deer-like stature.
• This creature wasn't inspired by anything in particular, Stood_04 just liked deer and Erythia wanted apples, which turned into the Aholai.
